LiteSpeed Cache Settings for WordPress
Instead of turning on LiteSpeed Cache settings all together, set up a working base first. Then measure the impact of each optimization on the page and user actions one by one.
Verify server support
Being able to install the plugin is not the same as having the page cache working on the server side. Verify appropriate caching support on your hosting. Response headers and plugin diagnostic information can help understand cache behavior.
Avoid task conflict if there is another page caching plugin available. Save the plugin settings and make a backup before making changes. Run the tests on a separate copy of the site if possible.
Try basic page caching first
Visit the same content page several times from a logged-out browser. Check whether the content is up to date, the mobile view is correct, and whether the fields are the same for different visitors. Then try changing the content as an administrator and refreshing the cache.
It is natural that the first request will be reproduced once the cache is cleared. Consider cold and hot cache separately in measurements. The benefit may be diminished if there is an application behavior that clears the cache on every request.
WooCommerce and session exceptions
LiteSpeed Cache excludes WooCommerce's cart, checkout and my account pages from the cache by default. The custom URL, membership system, or cart plugin may require retesting of this behavior.
Open two different user sessions; Verify that the baskets are separated by using different products, coupons and addresses in each. The order result and return address from the payment provider should also be part of the testing.
Optimize CSS, JavaScript and images in order
Do not open merge, minify, delay, and unused CSS operations at the same time. Change a single property first, clear the cache, and test the relevant pages. Depending on the HTTP version, theme and plugin structure, a setting may not be beneficial.
If the menu or form becomes corrupted, undo the last change and determine which file affected it. Fix narrowly instead of randomly adding broad exception lists. Saving running settings with date and tested flows makes subsequent updates easier.
